The Women’s Wing of the Democratic Medical Association (DMA) is actively leading a sustained social media–based awareness campaign focused on cervical cancer prevention, early detection, and vaccination awareness.
Spearheading this initiative is Dr. Priyanshu Sharma, National Women’s Wing Secretary, who is guiding the campaign’s efforts to ensure accurate, accessible, and practical medical information reaches women across diverse age groups through digital platforms
Supporting this awareness drive are:
• Dr. Shehla Jamal
• Dr. Sagrika Rithalia ( Pathology , PGI Rohtak)
• Dr. Ayushi Bansal
The campaign utilizes platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and other digital channels to share educational posts, short informational videos, infographics, and expert messages highlighting:
• Importance of HPV vaccination
• Need for regular Pap smear and HPV screening
• Early warning signs and risk factors of cervical cancer
• Busting myths and stigma related to women’s reproductive health
By focusing on digital outreach, the DMA Women’s Wing aims to reach younger populations, working women, and communities where conversations about cervical health are often limited. The initiative emphasizes that cervical cancer is largely preventable when women have the right knowledge and take timely preventive steps.
DMA continues to promote preventive healthcare and remains committed to empowering women with reliable medical information through consistent and responsible online engagement.
